Trol-A-Temp Zoning

We Install Quality Trol-A-Temp by Honeywell Zoning Systems
Comfort.  Energy savings.  Common sense.  Control heating and cooling comfort where you want it, when you want it. With a Honeywell Trol-a-Temp Zoning System, you won’t heat empty rooms or over-cool one area in order to be comfortable in another.  Zoning is a practical, energy-efficient way to enjoy the temperature you want in every room.  Think of it as controlling your heating and cooling the same way you control your lights.

With zoning, you don’t have to buy a new heating and cooling system for every room. A Honeywell Zoning System uses dampers in your ductwork that open and close as needed based on each zone’s thermostat settings. When a zone doesn’t need to be heated or cooled, the dampers close to save energy and maximize comfort elsewhere. It’s that simple.

C7735A1000-Discharge Air Sensor

Discharge air temperature sensor are required in by-pass zoning applications. Without these safety controls, the potential exists to ice the evaporator coil or trip the furnace or Heat Pump’s high limit control.

In all Conventional Zoning Systems, the Discharge Air Temperature Sensor “DATS” C7735A1000 (formerly ZMS) serves as both heating and cooling limit.

ZD Series-Parallel Blade Dampers

The ZD is a power close, and spring open damper. It has a 24-volt, spring-return, power-closed damper motor used to control circulating air in heating, cooling and ventilating systems. It is used when a normally-open damper is required. The ZD is typically used with the TotalZone® Systems and other electronic mini-zone damper systems.

  • Kevlar gearing reduces wear, more than doubling damper life.

  • Adjustable range stops.

  • Mechanical visual position indicator for damper status.

  • Solid construction using extruded aluminum frame and blades.

  • Parallel blade design for low leakage performance.

  • Quieter operation with fewer blades.

  • Simple, easy-to-wire, two-wire installation.

  • Reliable, strong, 24-volt spring-return motor.

  • Fail-safe, normally open operation.

  • Compatible with conventional and Networked Zoning.

ARD Series-Automatic Round Dampers

The ARD is a round damper with a 24 Vac, spring-return
damper motor used to control circulating air in heating,
cooling, and ventilating systems.
The damper is shipped as a powered closed/spring return
open damper for use with the TotalZone® Damper System,
Electronic MiniZone Damper System and other normally open damper systems.
The damper can be field-converted to a power open/spring
return closed damper when used as an independent zone or
for fresh air intake for ventilation or combustion make-up air.

  • Galvanized steel.

  • Single-blade damper.

  • For use with Trol-A-Temp. Zoning Systems.

  • Can be converted to power open/spring return closed damper when used as an independent zone or for fresh air intake.

  • Blade closes off tightly against gasket for minimal leakage.

  • Rated to operate up to 1 in. wc.

SPRD Series-Static Pressure Regulating Dampers

Download SPRD Install Manual

The Static Pressure Regulating Damper (SPRD) is a round or rectangular single-blade barometric relief damper. It is a mechanical damper with no electrical connections. The blade has a counter-balance weighted arm that can be adjusted to open when necessary. It is recommended for use on zone damper systems up to.5 in. static pressure and up to 2000 cfm. Systems above 2000 cfm may require use of the SPC static pressure control and MARD damper. The SPRD is used on zoned systems when the automatic closing of zone dampers can create an excessive increase in the air pressure and velocity through the duct system. This increase can reduce the volume of air through the air handler and cause it to trip on high limit or to create ice on the coil.

  •  Counter-balanced weighted arm to control bypass air for zoned systems.

  • Available in rectangular/square and round sizes.

  • Air pressure in duct system increases as zone dampers close, pushing the SPRD open automatically.

  • Arm and weight both adjustable to control amount of air bypassed.

  • Recommended for low pressure systems with less than 0.5 in. wc.

  • Available in: Round sizes 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 16 in. diameters.

  • Rectangular sizes (width x height)12 x 8, 12 x 10, 12 x 12, 20 x 8, 20 x 10, 20 x 12 in
